The Société 1981
The Société 1981 brings together a community of inspiring and committed individuals united by a shared purpose: to support the Orchestre Métropolitain so that its mission, vision, and ideals may endure through time. Through their generosity, these philanthropists contribute directly to the stability and artistic development of the OM, making it possible to envision the future with confidence and ambition.
Planned giving donors embody the profound belief that culture is not only something we receive: it is something we pass on, extend, and transform into a legacy. Their gesture creates a lasting resonance, allowing music to live on through memory, continuity, and artistic sustainability.
Thanks to them, the Orchestre Métropolitain can continue to innovate, push boundaries, and touch the hearts of present and future generations.
The Société 1981 serves as the distinguished recognition circle for planned giving donors, creating with and for them a community of shared interests that aims to:
- Acknowledge their generosity and celebrate their deeply inspiring stories and journeys
- Highlight the importance of planned giving for the development and long-term sustainability of the OM
- Share relevant information and specific to this type of philanthropic commitment through a semiannual newsletter (published in November and May)
- Invite members to an annual recognition event (May)
- Honour the memory of those who have passed away
