The OM for Schools

Every season, the OM enhances the educational experience of over 11,000 young people in Montréal-area elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. The Orchestre has developed many educational partnerships over more than 10 years, which have led to the creation of turnkey resources and unique initiatives. By getting involved as musicians, soloists, composers or choristers, they have provided young people with countless diverse musical experiences.

Le pelleteur de nuages (The Cloud Shoveller) | School Matinees

The Orchestre Metropolitain invites schools to attend its Youth Spirit Matinee on February 25, 2022 at the Maison symphonique!

The Orchestre Métropolitain is presenting a symphonic adaptation of the story Le pelleteur de nuages (The Cloud Shoveller) by Simon Boulerice. Published by La courte échelle in 2018, this poetic and magical tale is about a young, imaginative boy named Elliot with vitiligo. Under the baton of Geneviève Leclair, the music, composed by three canadian composers, moves the story forward while introducing the audience to the main characters: Elliot, his father and his mother.

This concert is presented in French only.
