René Rousseau

René Rousseau is an actor.

A graduate of the Theatre Performance program at the Université du Québec à Montréal, he has built a career that blends textbased theatre, improvisation, and screen acting. Active for several years with the Ligue nationale d’improvisation, he also worked there as a coach—an experience that sharpened his listening skills and precision in performance.

On stage, he has taken part in several notable contemporary creations, including L’enclos de Wabush and À te regarder, ils s’habitueront. 

On television, he was recently seen in STATIndéfendableAller simpleL’œil du cyclone, and Veille sur moi. 

In film, he appeared in the featurelength productions Arsenault et fils and Le Cyclone de Noël. 

He also works as a voice actor in dubbing and voiceover, an important aspect of his professional practice. In 2025–2026, he plays a leading role in the series Pitago Stop.
