Appointments to the Board of Directors of the Orchestre Métropolitain
At its meeting on April 1, the Board of Directors of the Orchestre Métropolitain appointed its new officers and welcomed two new members.
The entire Board and team congratulate Abe Adham on his appointment as Chair. A board member since 2018, he has distinguished himself through his sustained and deeply human commitment to advancing the Orchestra’s mission and reach.
“It is with deep gratitude and great enthusiasm that I accept the presidency of the Orchestre Métropolitain’s Board of Directors. Convinced of the unifying power of music, I am honored to contribute to expanding its impact, notably through educational initiatives and a stronger presence in healthcare settings.”
The Board of Directors of the Orchestre Métropolitain is also pleased to welcome two new members whose expertise and commitment will strengthen its governance: François Brais and Roger T. Duguay. François Brais will also serve as Secretary, while Danielle Charest will act as Treasurer. Xavier Fortin will now serve as Chair of the Musicians’ Committee, succeeding Gabrielle Dostie-Poirier, whose dedication over the past several years is warmly acknowledged.
The Board also extends its sincere thanks to Erik Ryan, outgoing Chair, who leaves a lasting mark after ten years of leadership. His unifying vision and decisive contributions have greatly strengthened the Orchestre Métropolitain’s profile and organizational resilience. The Board also wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to outgoing officers Donat Taddeo and Martin Faucher for their unwavering commitment.
