Part 2: The Family Spirit

When the young and spirited Yannick Nézet-Séguin came on the scene in 2000, the OM took an entirely new direction. The orchestra set its sights on reaching its boldest mission: to establish itself as a key player in the local arts scene, with performers primarily from Quebec and programming borrowing heavily from the contemporary repertoire. Mission accomplished!

Part 3: The DNA of a Major Orchestra

As was the case for all of us, the arrival of the pandemic was a difficult time for the OM. Every member of the OM family had to contend with this turbulent period that’s far from over. While the OM’s team has made its share of sacrifices, they have proved to be resilient. Finding ways to bring music to life despite their distance, the OM recreated a sense of togetherness while apart.
