A mentoring program for the next
generation of orchestral conductors

The Orchestre Métropolitain and its artistic director and principal conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin are pleased to launch the OM’s Orchestral Conducting Academy, a mentoring program for the next generation of orchestral conductors.

Five successful candidates will be granted backstage access to rehearsals and concerts of the OM’s 2021-2022 season. They will also enjoy a unique mentoring experience alongside Yannick Nézet-Séguin and, for training purposes, regular interaction with the Orchestre Métropolitain’s team members and musicians.

Additionally, they will take part in the OM’s educational and artistic activities. The Academy aims to give these young conductors a solid experience of the symphonic milieu and to further the development of their musical careers.

Application deadline: July 26, 2021
