Vikie Pedneault

Guillaume Boucher

Vickie Pedneault holds a degree in Biology from Université Laval (2013) and a certificate in Entrepreneurship (2014).

With twenty years of experience in theatre, improvisation, and communication — including six years in stand‑up comedy — she has spent the past ten years working at the intersection of science communication and civic engagement.

In 2017, she founded La Baleine Nomade, a creative and engaging initiative focused on educating young people about the protection of the St. Lawrence River. The project positioned Vickie as a bold voice in environmental mobilization, launching a distinctive path where humour, science, and creativity converge in service of the socio‑ecological transition.

A true serial entrepreneur, she later launched Lévisium, a science festival, as well as La Toison d’Or, a project combining storytelling and collective action to renew the bond between people and the river — along with several other impactful initiatives. Over the years, Vickie has created content for both traditional and digital media, collaborating with organizations such as Unpointcinq, Bell Media, Télé‑Québec, Sphère Média, ACFAS, as well as various universities and government departments.

She added another dimension to her work as host of Drôlement Débrouillards on Télé‑Québec, where she shares the joy of science with younger audiences through humour and curiosity.

Her passions are wide‑ranging — whales, sailing, diving, psychology, the environment, mechanics, comedy, and, above all, communication.
If a project is bold, meaningful, and mobilizing, Vickie is already on board.
