Aly Keita

Aly Keita began his artistic career at the age of 13 in Guinea. He studied circus arts, dance and music at the Centre d’art acrobatique Keita Fodeba. In 2016, he arrived in Canada as part of a cultural exchange initiative between young Inuit and Guineans, which led to the production of the documentary “Cirque sans frontières”. Since then, he has collaborated with various organizations, including Productions Kalabanté, Cirque Eloize, Cavalia, Zab Maboungou/Compagnie Danse Nyata Nyata, MAPP_Montréal, Collectif White Wash, Jobel Art for Earth, Fondation de la Place des Arts and more. Starting in 2020, he created and presented his own production, “Djata: Conversations du Manden”. He also participated in “Afro Canada”, a four-part documentary on 400 years of Afro-descendant history, broadcast by Radio-Canada. He has extensive experience in teaching and cultural mediation.
