Charissa Vandikas

Praised for her “fabulous sense of style and musical expression,” Charissa Vandikas has established herself as a passionate, multifaceted musician.

She was named to CBC Music’s prestigious “30 Hot Classical Musicians Under 30” list and recently won Second Prize at the Prix d’Europe competition. She is a laureate of numerous competitions, including the 70th ARD International Music Competition, the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Associations National Piano Competition, and the Canadian Music Competition. Ms. Vandikas is proud to have received The Hnatyshyn Foundation Developing Artists Grant in Classical Music. 

As the recipient of the Prix d’Europe’s Tournée Abitibienne Prize, she looks forward to embarking on a tour in February 2026. Ms. Vandikas has appeared as a soloist in the concert series of Koerner Hall, the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Music Society, the Canadian Opera Company, and the Festival of the Sound. She made her debut with the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013 and has since performed with orchestras around the world, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Munich Radio Orchestra, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Haydn Youth String Orchestra, Royal Conservatory Orchestra, and Orchestre de la Francophonie. She made her debut at the Maison symphonique in November 2023 under the baton of JeanFrançois Rivest. 

Ms. Vandikas is a graduate of The Royal Conservatory of Music, the Glenn Gould School, and the Université de Montréal, where she is currently pursuing doctoral studies with professors Charles RichardHamelin and Jean Saulnier. Her former teachers include Henry Kramer, John O’Conor, and Janice Lin.
