Simon Boulerice

Simon Boulerice is a versatile and fulfilled artist. In addition to being a radio columnist (Il restera toujours la culture) and a television personality (Cette année-là, Autonome, Sucré salé, Bonsoir Bonsoir!), he navigates through acting, directing, and writing. He writes for the theater, poetry, and novels, catering to both adults and children. Among his sixty titles, he is the author of Simon a toujours aimé danser, Javotte, Edgar Paillettes, PIG, Les garçons courent plus vite, Florence et Léon, Le Dernier qui sort éteint la lumière, L’Enfant mascara, and Pleurer au fond des mascottes. His works, translated into nine languages, have been nominated for the Governor General’s Award and the Booksellers’ Award.

For television, he scripted the new version of Passe-Partout on Télé-Québec, and also wrote the scripts for all three seasons of the series Six degrés, broadcast on Radio-Canada. The latter received the Rockie Award Live Action: Youth (11-17) at the Banff World Media Festival and six Gémeaux Awards, including Best Youth Texts. His novel Géolocaliser l’amour was adapted into a web series in which he played the lead role, earning him two interpretation awards in Italy and Argentina. His play Martine à la plage was also adapted into a web series and won the award for the best web series in Germany in June 2023. Chouchou, his first TV series for adults, was acclaimed by both the public and critics, earning him the Ça m’allume Award at the last Zapettes d’or gala. This same series won him the Gémeaux Award for Best Text in a Dramatic Series.
