OMNI Competition 2023: Registration begins!

The Orchestre Métropolitain is pleased to announce that its OMNI Music Competition is returning in 2023 for a fifth edition!

The OMNI Competition aims to inspire young people to practice their instruments by giving them the opportunity to grow and excel through a gratifying process that can have a decisive impact on their musical future. Young performers between the ages of 7 and 17 will show their talent in a safe setting that favours each participant’s growth and musical development and contact between musicians who share the same passion.

The Orchestre encourages young musicians age 7 to 17 from across Canada to display their talent by submitting a video of them performing a piece of music. The submission deadline is March 20, 2023. The performances of all who enter will be available for viewing on the OM’s YouTube channel on May 5, 6 and 7, 2023. In addition, a final round will be held at Montreal’s Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur on May 27 and 28, 2023.

NEW CATEGORY: Percussion, Harp and Guitar
To mark the fifth edition of the OMNI Competition, the OM is pleased to announce the addition of a new instrument category. Percussionists playing a keyboard percussion instrument are now welcome to enter the competition in the Percussion, Harp and Guitar category.
