The OM celebrates

UQAM’s 50th anniversary

Both the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and the Orchestre Métropolitain are young institutions dedicated to making knowledge and culture accessible to all. Urban and rooted in the community, they make Montreal, Quebec and Canada shine on the international stage. It was UQAM that, in 2011, awarded maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin his first honorary doctorate.

Accordingly, to celebrate UQAM’s 50th anniversary, the institutions are joining together to invite the general public and the university community to an exceptional evening with the Orchestre Métropolitain, which will perform Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4 “Romantic”.

The concert will last about one hour.
