Composition competition
Beethoven's legacy

As part of the festivities surrounding its 40th season in 2020/21, the Orchestre Métropolitain is proud to launch its first-ever composition competition: Beethoven’s Legacy.

Canadian composers, born in 1981 or later, are invited to submit a proposal of an original work for orchestra which embodies what Beethoven has represented to the world throughout the centuries. Four winning works will be selected to be performed by the OM in each of the four concerts of the Beethoven Marathon.
